Liquid Copper

Liquid Copper 03

The riverside walk in Leavenworth skirts the edge of the Wenatchee River. We find quiet pools, bridges, glimpses of the surrounding mountains, and most of all the lovely reflections in the liquid landscape of the water. As we explore Blackbird Island, the autumn colors range from deep rusty reds to brilliant cadmium yellows, interspersed with dark greens and blues. It feels like liquid copper and gold have been poured over nature’s tapestry.
